Christopher Caesar
Christopher is founding and managing partner of CCAP, a merchant banking boutique for entrepreneurs, family offices and investors. Christopher has over 22 years of leadership, deal sourcing and investing experience in the digital economy, media, online and consumer and retail industries. He is an investor and business angel who lived in the US, the UK and in Germany.
Since 2019, Christopher has partnered with Roger Lienhard, a vegan evangelist, and his Blue Horizon Group to engineer the M&A buy & build strategy of the Livekindly Collective acquiring 5 companies and raising in excess of $500m including TPG Rise, EQT and Rabobank.
Previously, Christopher headed Nomura’s media and digital European (EMEA) investment banking business in London where he was leading landmark multi-billion transactions in the technology, media and telecom space including a variety of acquisitions, divestitures, capital raising and public market transactions. Previously he worked at Lehman Brothers and started his career with Morgan Stanley Dean Witter.
Christopher graduated as Diplom Kaufmann and MBA from the European Business School in Oestrich-Winkel, Germany and the Graziadio School of Management at Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA. As business angel and with CCAP he invested and supported various entrepreneurs and businesses including Moonfare, dealroom.co, Billon, Deskphone and the Livekindly Collective, a rising unicorn in plant-based food tech.
Christopher is happily married with two daughters and a son. Besides spending time with his family he is an outdoor sportsman, supporter of Modern Arts, a cook and a connoisseur of red wine with a weakness for chocolate. He speaks English, German, French and Arabic.
Sebastian Heß
Sebastian is founding partner of CCAP and a seasoned deal maker with over 15 years of global investment banking experience having lived and worked in Hong Kong, the US, the UK and in Germany.
Since founding CCAP, he led several transactions in plant-based food for the Livekindly Collective as part of the partnership with the Blue Horizon Group.
Prior to CCAP Sebastian was responsible for Nomura’s media and consumer internet business and set up and ran its Education Investment Banking business in EMEA since 2013. He spent over 5 years in Germany at Lehman Brothers and Nomura working for clients in the D/A/CH region, over 2 years in Hong Kong at Nomura focusing on cross-border M&A from Asia into Europe and the US and the last 7 years in London covering Europe, Middle East and Africa.
He worked on sell-side, buyside M&A, minority investments, fundraisings, leveraged buyouts for media, consumer internet and information services clients across EMEA.
Sebastian graduated with an MBA (honours) from Sid Craig School of Business in Fresno, CA. and a Diplom Kaufmann (distinction) from the University of Passau in Germany. He speaks German, English and French.
Privately, he enjoys spending most time with his wife and three children. During morning hours and on weekends, he can be found pursuing his passion for road cycling, hiking and during winter speeding down the slopes on skis or on a snowboard.
